Apply at eLicense.Ohio.Gov:

1. Select LOGIN
2. Select I DON'T HAVE A LICENSE & provide any necessary information.
3. Once you arrive at your dashboard, select APPLY FOR A NEW LICENSE

As part of the program, you will receive your CPR Certification. 

Your certification requires renewals, so keep in mind that every two years - Find out about upcoming CPR Renewal Classes throughout the year.

As a graduate of Core Dental Academy, you are ready to apply!

Interested in becoming a Certified Dental Assistant through the state of Ohio? This is a less costly way to gain your CODA Certification. 

As a graduate of Core Dental Academy, you are ready to apply!

Benefits to a CODA Certification is that it allows you to further your education and apply to programs that further your career:

• Coronal Polishing Certificate
• Pit and Fissure Sealants
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

This application process is a bit more involved, however, it is a certification that is recognized in other states. 

Application for this requires:

• 3500 hours minimum experience
• GED or High School diploma
• Examination

1. Successfully complete CODA or DANB Certification
2.  Successfully complete an Ohio Board-approved training program in coronal polishing 
3.  Successfully complete an Ohio Board-approved training program in coronal polishing 
4.  Apply to the Ohio State Dental Board for certification to perform coronal polishing. 

1.  Successfully complete a course containing a minimum of two hours of didactic instruction and six hours of clinical instruction 
2.  The supervising dentist must observe the assistant successfully apply at least six sealants 

After you graduate from Core Dental Academy: 

1. Go through CODA or DANDB for your Dental Assistant Certification, you now are eligible to apply to an EFDA program. 
2. Apply to an EFDA Program
3. Apply for your state license.
